About Antler and Rose

A warm welcome to Antler & Rose, Painted Furniture and Interiors based down in the beautiful New Forest Park, situated between our stunning southern coastline and the Forest.

I am passionate about what I do! Classic antique, vintage and painted furniture from the heavily distressed and antiqued, “provincial painted” to the more classically painted. From elegant neutral neoclassical tones with a strong French and Gustavian influence; greyed pastels, lots of whites and creams, clean simple lines and the promise of a simpler life, to the occasional pop of brighter colours; if the piece suits a more formal look. Such is my particular love affair with the vivid blue shades in French and Gustavian antique furniture pieces.

Being heavily influenced by country French and Swedish interiors as my business name suggests, these styles, a juxtaposition between the “informal and the formal, the comfortable and refined, the elegant and the rustic” The Scandinavians in particular are known around the world for not only creating beautiful furniture, but also for stylish and functional furniture. The right finish for the right piece and use. At Antler & Rose, it is all about individuality. No mass produced interior pieces with no soul here, but furniture influenced by times gone by and honest tradition. Authentic looking old paint finishes. I delight in the leftfield, unique and quirky finds which makes them so unique. You can be sure that if you invest in an original Antler & Rose piece, you will find it nowhere else. Our furniture creations are pieces that I’d want to live with in my own home and indeed do. Earthy, rustic, classic and antique. Unique and rare finds of English and European furniture and indeed the odd piece with a super unpainted patina and colour.

Antler & Rose can count celebrity buyers, hotels, interior designers and indeed one politician amongst it’s past clients!

Many thanks for coming into my world of furniture!

Best wishes

Alexandra
